Dr. Faye Wilson, Ed. D.
Faye Wilson is director of GeeFaye Associates, a communications, education, and music consulting firm. She has worked in these fields since 1978.
GeeFaye Associates offers services in several areas. The company specializes in creating and editing documents: booklets, research papers, press releases, and brochures. Staff will also provide in-person training on key topics. The company also coaches individuals in increasing their ‘poise and presence’ when speaking in public; speech writing is part of the company’s services. Finally, GeeFaye Associates provides coaching in the area of music: how to play by ear, how to improve singing, and how to sing in three and four part harmony.
Dr. Wilson, as director, has 35 years in the areas of music and education. She has used her communications skills to create videos, manuals, and curriculum and to serve as a national-level trainer for agencies related to The United Methodist Church. She is the author of several children’s resources.
Her work in education and music has taken her to more than 35 states and to 20 countries on 6 continents. She has served as music director for individual groups and women’s events. She led a workshop “Singing in the Gospel Tradition” for 1500 women at the United Methodist Women’s Assembly in Philadelphia.
Dr. Wilson has a B.A. degree in religion studies from Wilson College, a master of theological studies (Drew Theological School, Madison, NJ), a master’s in journalism (New York University), and a doctorate in adult education from Columbia University. She lives in Salisbury, Maryland and is minister of music and arts for Mt. Zion UMC, Quantico.
